Who is Ishaku Komo, Gung Zaar Elect?
Gungzaar elect Ishaku Komo (rtd.) was born on 25 November 1953 in a village called Bar of then Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area (LGA) now in Bogoro LGA of Bauchi State, Nigeria, West Africa to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Komo Kwasba.
He was commissioned as a Pilot Officer in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in December 1974, retroactively dated to 2 July 1973. He underwent training at Ground School located at the Primary, Flying Training Wing (PFTW) in Kaduna from 1974 to 1975. He obtained certification as an Air Traffic Controller (ATC) upon completing his training at the Basic Air Traffic Control School in Shawbury, Royal Air Force, United Kingdom, spanning from December 1975 to July 1976.

In 1980, he assumed the role of an Aircraft Interceptor Controller at the Fighter Control School in West Drayton, Royal Air Force, United Kingdom following his attendance at the Junior Command and Staff School (JCSS) in Kaduna in 1982, he earned the qualification to append Pass Junior Staff Course (PJSC) to his name. Additionally, during his tenure at the Senior Command and Staff College in Jaji, Kaduna State, between 1988 and 1989, he was honoured with the designation Pass Staff Course (PSC).

In addition, Ishaku Komo attended the National Defence College (NDC), Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan and obtained a MSc in Defence and Strategic Studies from Quaid-i-Azim University, between August 1998 and July 1999.
HRM Ishaku Komo is now a retired Air Commodore of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). In August 2005, Ishaku Komo received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Theology from the Abuja Campus of the Pan African Christian Theological University (PACTU).
Furthermore, he pursued a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Philosophy at the New Dimension Seminary in Lagos, completed his studies and graduated in December 2005. He loved education that’s why he involved himself in different courses to make sure that he attend some level of education in his life time. He has been a source of encouragement to many Zaar sons and daughters.
As a Nigeria who has the passion for peace and defense, he served his country with heart and mind as the very words of the Nigeria National Anthem read to defend the integrity of his country Nigeria. Particularly, the outstanding records of his duty and service to our dear nation Nigeria are there for people to see. By all standards, Ishaku Komo is qualified to be addressed as an elder statesman.

HRM Ishaku Komo is known as a man of peace, a man of God, a family man, and a lover of people. No wonder, his good works attracted him to the Zaar people to be their Moses at this critical time of their struggle for the Zaar Chiefdom. That’s why he was chosen by God to be Zaar’s Moses of our time.

You can see that he has all the qualifications and charisma to lead his people and upon that many Zaar sons and daughters are in support of his leadership style even though not confirm and handed over the staff of office yet by the Bauchi state government. When will it be? Only time will tell. Because Zaar people are waiting anxiously and npatiently for that day to come that their Chiefdom request is been granted peacefully.
